Heritage Truck Association Australia
By John Dodd
HTAA Objectives
- Encourage the restoration and preservation of trucks over 30 years old.
- Foster friendship and information sharing through participation in rallies, exhibitions and other events.
- Assist members in locating parts, services and information and history about their vehicle.
- Encourage retention of heritage trucks and memorabilia in Australia.
- Stimulate and build community interest in the importance of heritage trucks and memorabilia.
Activities
The club has a busy calendar with
monthly business meetings and holding an annual show in May. There are also
events that the members attend on a regular basis ie local and district shows,
events hosted by other like minded clubs, vintage machinery clubs and alike.
These events give the opportunity
to show your vehicle and share our interest, support other groups in the
community, renew friendships and make new ones. Many events are regular annual
attendances.
As a member
Members enjoy a range of benefits
ranging from the Queensland Government SIV’s Registration Scheme, the enormous
knowledge and experience in the club, the enjoyment of events and fellowship within
the club.
Each member has the opportunity to
present their vehicle in a way that suits them whether it is all blinged up
with chrome and paint or original with its working clothes on, or somewhere in
between.
The HTAA website
(heritagetruckassociation.com.au) gives a snapshot of the club and provides a
list of contacts.
